Very different from the version of the 90's where Eddie Murphy acts, "The Nutty Professor" in 1963 working with a character too thin and with a very fine voice. If Eddie Murphy in the film the theme is obesity, the Jerry Lewis prefers to bet on the obsession of the youth by weight.
Something different (and somewhat unethical) is that the work of the 60's the main character falls in love with a student and even fantasize about her in the classroom. In the remake, this fact is changed, the teacher is attracted by another teacher.
Although the script was poor and the acting a bit silly Lewis, the songs of the movie save the work. "Black Magic" is a wonderful song and although old, still reflects its charm today.
